Thank you for always putting in the time and having the heart to humanize men like Boyd, who have been demonized by not only a flawed system, but a brutal, vengeful one. It is the system that lacks humanity, not Boyd! I stand with you, Boyd, and all others in solidarity ❤️

When will society understand Ant’s words- “Society has deemed itself better than death row inmates but society is not acting better.”? As long as this barbaric act of state sanctioned murder continues, we’re no better than anyone else.

I appreciate your article. I only hope it makes it to the people who need to see that each man on death row is still a human being who deserves to be treated with dignity.

I moved from Alabama a year ago. I wish I had read more about Anthony Boyd and sent him my best wishes at a minimum. A brave and compassionate leader. Shame on Alabama’s leadership, Kay Ivy included!

Thank you, Lee, for being there with those who are drawn unto death in the very last moments of their lives.

What about the man he killed? Where was the concern by Anthony and his brotherhood of hope and compassion for the method and murder of his victim?

You should have written "the man who was killed." Anthony Boyd has maintained his innocence. Something I have noted in the anti-death penalty movement is that evidence that may have proved an accused's innocence is lost, ignored, or damaged.

Do you think the person that burned to death by his hand was killed humanely?
